The Mascot Buyer's Kit: Budget One-Pager, Buyer's Guide, and Procurement Explainer (Free PDF)

Bringing a mascot to a school, team, or organization is a committee purchase. The person who wants it usually is not the person who signs for it, and between those two people sit a budget meeting, a purchasing office, and a timeline nobody has explained. This kit fixes that.

What Is in the Kit

  • The Budget One-Pager. A printable proposal page with 2026 cost tiers, the cost-per-season math, and a signature line. Built to be handed to an athletic director, principal, or finance office as-is.
  • The Buyer's Guide. How to choose a mascot that lasts: construction quality, what breaks first, stock vs semi-custom vs full custom, and the accessories that protect the investment.
  • The Procurement Explainer. A page written for your purchasing office: W-9, purchase orders, invoice-before-ship terms, and the typical institutional order flow.

No email required for the download. If you want the kit plus the ordering-deadline reminders that go with it, join the list using the signup form and we will keep you ahead of every season's order window.

Who This Is For

Coaches, PTO and PTA volunteers, spirit committees, athletic directors, student councils, marketing managers, and anyone else who has ever said "we should have a mascot" in a meeting and then been put in charge of making it happen.

The Short Version of the Advice Inside

  1. Count back 8 weeks from your debut event. That is your order deadline. Production is 4 to 6 weeks, made to order in the USA, and peak seasons stretch it.
  2. Start stock or semi-custom for a first mascot. Full custom is for programs where the mascot IS the brand. The stock suit becomes your backup later either way.
  3. Budget for cooling gear. Heat is the number one performer safety issue. A cooling vest is not an accessory, it is equipment.
  4. Bring published pricing to the budget meeting. Every price on our site is on the page, which means your proposal can cite real numbers today. That is the entire reason approval takes weeks elsewhere and days here.
